This is the second episode of Geng Pengembaraan adventure.

1st may...

Our day starts as early as 6.30am. Have maggi goreng and telur mata as bfast, we are ready to go. Ome decided to stay so, she will wait for us at the end of the day.....(in the middle of my trekking, I do think of how brilliant Ome is decided not to join.Its damn exhausted..but well, Ome miss the fun in some ways...heheheheh)

Starting point Kuala Marong to Buaya Sangkut. This trek is known as the most difficult but we couldnt imagine how difficult it can be...so, here we are. Bear in mind, 5.5km is not flat trek..its go up,go down,go up, go down, go down go up and so on.

The journey started by climbing the stairs..to the hanging bridge and enter the jungle. At this point everybody still energetic, excited and free our mind not to think how difficult the trek will be. Our aim only to be at Buaya Sangkut waterfall at 12 noon and be back before dark....

We enter the woods. The trek still consider easy,still flat surface,still can smile widely.

After a few steps..we found fresh tiger print. According to Eddy, our guide...its approximately 50kg weight of tiger. I felt excited and nervous at the same time. Well, its a wild tiger anyway. Not the one in cage at zoo.

Continue...we found fresh,lively periuk kera. This trip educate me to value our jungles, our wild life so that our children can see what we experience now. Still, at this point..we are all ok. Pacat, yes, they started their adventure too.

This is our first stop after 1.5 hours trek. Everybody busy get rid of pacat. Nizam collected the most since he didnt wear any socks,just sandal and shorts.

Our first stop actually called Batu Hampar...

Buaya Sangkut 4km....Takah Kunyit 3km... this is actually the first 45 deg trek..doesnt look like that anyway..but the tiredness while climb it..definitely 45 deg slope..

batu tu licin so kena extra carefull masa crossing. Me, at first I tried to step on the rock and when i have difficulties to balance myself, I just take off my shoes and cross through the water..easy and faster.. and this is our second stop after...i lost count of hours by then.

Nizam has been forced to become the 'tree' for Mia to hold to while crossing. He wear sandal so he is so 'kerek' cross the river...heheheheheh...

Dilla busy checking on how many pacat she actually catched.....look at the socks, fashionable is a must and I think that attracts pacat.... ;-)

We rest for a while. Eddy started his story about his friends died during white water rafting in Slim River. She was flying out from the raft....the current so fast...they cannot do anything and suddenly he saw the clear water become red....her helmet crash into pieces...What a sad story in the jungle..so Mia asked..."cerita lah yg happy2 sikit, tak nak cerita org mati"...then Eddy smiled and said " Saya jumpa harimau masa kat ........(mana ntah, I tak ingat).Harimau tu besar saya." So itulah happy moment Eddy which me and Mia trying to be happy too....(jumpa harimau pun happy ke....takut lagi ada)

TipS : Eddy said if we face to face with tiger, stare at her eyes,step forward so she knows we are not scared of her and she will go away. Dont ever turn your back because Tiger will attack you as she sees your back....(mcm dlm Beastmaster..anybody watching that series..)my question, ada berani????

at about 11am ++...we arrived Takah Kunyit. Masa ni mmg dah penat tahap gaban and berpeluh mcm habis air satu badan but when we see the sign..lagi 1km Buaya Sangkut..kind of relieve pasal dah dekat. and this consider our 3rd stop.

Penat macam mana pun, tetap maintain senyum. Look at Nizam..dah almost hilang seri senyuman....heheheeheh..do u see the hill behind us..thats is the one we have to climb up afterwards.... pokok di bawah tu adalah Kacip Fatimah...


consider as our 4th stop because too tired after climbed up the most steep hill of entire journey..(mcm poyo je bunyinye but memang mcm nak putus nyawa) While climbing this hill, I was mumbling asking why this buaya tersangkut tinggi sangat. Kat bawah2 sudahlah kan..Ada pacat near my armpit after I sandar kat pokok tu....manage to buang anyway...

finally, we arrived Buaya Sangkut Waterfall at 12.30pm

Look at the big rock horizontal there...That is the head of Buaya yang tersangkut. Based on the story, in short version ya, once upon a time, there is a father and daughter. The daughter are believe to be kill by Buaya when she grows up. So the father brought her to the highest place as possible to avoid Buaya. One day, the daughter said she saw buaya tersangkut at waterfall...and her father quickly kill the crocs, took the body and skin and made Gendang out of crocs skin. When the Gendang is completed, he hang it at his daughter room above her head. Next morning, her daughter found dead due to Gendang fall over her head. So, the rock that in the photo is believe to be the head of Buaya yang tersangkut tu....Based on the head size, can u imagine how big the overall crocs is????

after 4 hours of trekking, just take photo???no no no no...we settle down here for a while

this is our swimming pool at Buaya Sangkut. A little bit uphill...less current, more secure.

prepare our lunch....just tuna sandwich and instant noodles

we can swim down here. at the top where Ubai is...the current so fast. and beyond that is actually a big lake ,80ft deep. too calm and its scary. we dont have photo while we swim because dare enough to risk bringing the camera across the water....we have to swim and with camera...forget it. So, the memories remains in our mind.

After spending about 2.5 hours there...we heading back at 3pm and target to reach campsite before dark. According to Eddy,before 7pm.

Way back somehow not that difficult because more downhill than uphill. So, a little bit faster.

we arrive campsite in one piece before dark...Alhamdullilah...and Ome welcoming us.Apparently, while we went for hiking, Ome by default became a manager of the place. People who came in this place ask her about Buaya Sangkut, how far is Batu Hampar from here and she even forbid people to have bath at the river...u can mandi manda but no shampoo and soap please....she did an excellant job and we did ask her how many groups has arrived..so on and so on...she can answer all of it fluently as if she's been there quite a while....Well Done Manager.. ;-)

At night, we had dinner yang dah lupa apa tapi Semua org tambah nasi at least once lah....perhaps we are so tired and hungry too. Habislah nasi yg di masak and all lauk pauk...before I forget, there is one item in here which really make u having a big appetite. Its Kicap Manis ABC...makan dgn apa pun sodap..betul, mmg sedap and thats is actually our main menu on top of all dishes...

After dinner and before end of the night.....we had campfire,drink tea,makan biskut and share story about Sang kancil & gajah, filem2 P ramlee and nyanyi lagi anuar zain(our guide big fan Anuar zain).
